These Dutch pancakes were so good! They’re kind of like rolled crepes and you can choose your own toppings and fillings. The place isn’t really vegan, but they do have many vegan options. The first pancake had apples with cinnamon that totally reminded me of strudel filling, plus vegan whipped cream. The second one came with chocolate-hazelnut syrup and strawberries. I actually preferred the first pancake, but if I got it again I’d add some toasted sliced almonds and skip the whipped cream, since it didn’t add much to the taste. Portions are big and filling. 9/10 #pancakes #pancake

Happy that this Dutch pancake speciality shop had vegan options and the possibility to customise using the Build Your Own Pancake order! 🥞 Dutch pancakes are different from American ones in that the former are thinner with slightly crispy edges. There was a vegan pancake available made using flour, but I opted for the vegan and #glutenfree pancake made using buckwheat for a healthier take, plus there was a slightly nutty fragrance too (€6.95 for pancake base). For the toppings, I chose a cinnamon-spiced apple filling (+€3) and chocolate hazelnut sauce (+€1.75). 🍎🍫 There were also other possibile toppings such as fresh banana, maple syrup, vegan whipped cream, strawberry or fig jam, toasted coconut or almond slices, as well as a few savoury sauces. 🍌🍯🥥 I don't have a very sweet tooth so I didn't particularly love this, but was pleased to try a vegan version of this traditional Dutch snack nonetheless! #netherlands #veganoptions

Vegan #Dutch #pancake 🥞 rolled up with banana 🍌 and chocolate-hazelnut sauce! The pancake is thin, more like a #Crêpe, but that’s how Dutch #pancakes are. They do have a slight chew as well. This version gets filled with #banana slices, some #almond flakes and then topped with their #homemade chocolate #hazelnut cream. The pancake 🥞 itself isn’t sweet, but due to the banana and #chocolate on top, there’s a nice sweetness. The chocolate-hazelnut crème is sweet but not too sweet! It reminded me of healthy Nutella. I do like the concept of rolling them up and slicing them for on the go! #chocoholic Hefty price at 9.50€ for this (April 2024)
