I enjoyed this very much. It is gluten free (rice and lentils) and had a very nice chewy texture which was perfect for dipping in the two tasty sauces . It was $12.99 which I think was over priced

This was my first time trying this dish, it is basically a large pancake with the toppings kind of stirred in, it was good but not great fir the price $15.99. It was a decent size but still pricey

This is one of my favorite Indian dishes. It was nice and crispy but I was disappointed because I was expecting a bit more heat. Also fir the price I thought the portion size was in the small side cost: $13.99

I decided to try something new from Ahimsa, which was their #vegan spin on #palakpaneer. 🌱 Instead of #paneer, which is a type of #cheese, they used #tofu—a simple, clever, and realistic substitute. ☺️ Not to mention, it is also a great #ecofriendly and #animalfriendly alternative. 🙌 The #spinach #curry was #tasty and certainly did the #leafygreens justice. 💚😋 This was a great vegan version of a classic and I’d definitely recommend it. 😄 #veganfortheanimals ❤️ #veganfortheplanet 🌎 #spinachlove #tofulover #vegancheese #indianfood

Today, I wanted to showcase some of the #vegan #appetizers of Ahimsa—and one of them is none other than the humble vegetable #samosa. 😃🌱 The #pastry was not too thick and very #crispy—cooked to perfection! 😯 The filling of spiced #potato 🥔, #onion 🧅, #peas 🫛, and #lentils was #savoury with occasional hints of #sweet from the #raisins and #chutney. This was all for $8.99, which was pretty decent. 😅 Maybe the one downside is the #plasticpackaging that is used for the takeout containers, so overall it is probably best to dine in the restaurant itself. 👍 #veganfortheanimals ❤️ #veganfortheplanet 🌎 #potatolover #indianfood

Hello, everyone! 👋 I’m wishing a good morning, evening, or any time zone you are in to you. ☺️ Today, I visited Ahimsa for a classic yellow #dal. The #veggies and #lentils were soft, and it was relatively light in flavor, with a gentle fragrance from the tempered #cumin and garden #herbs. 😌 The dal was a little watery, so I’d recommend using a small bowl. 😅 Overall, dal is a classic #vegan dish and can be prepared at home in a little less than a half hour, but it certainly was nice to try it from Ahimsa. #veganisnotscary #veganfortheanimals ❤️ #veganfortheplanet 🌎 #spinach #indianfood

This vegetable vindaloo was certainly #spicy! 🥵🌶️ What an experience. 😅 The colors and flavor were both equally vibrant, and there was an amazing array of #vegetables in this #vegan #curry. 🌱 Awarning of caution, however, is that you’ll definitely need the #basmati #rice 🍚 to balance out the spice! We recently visited Ahimsa NYC ☮️☺️ again, which has some of the best #vegan #curry. 🌱🍛 The one that I tried today is the baingan bharta, a curry originating from the #punjab, which consists of roasted #eggplant 🍆 in #tomato 🍅 and #onion 🧅 gravy, as well as #peas and various aromatic #spices—a plant-based flavor journey! 😋 As always, the #basmati rice 🌾 was fragrant and fluffy, and paired well with the flavorful curry. Also, it was only for $16.99, which is a pretty decent price. The vegan and Jain curries offered by Ahimsa definitely speak out to the principle of non-violence and protecting the animals and planet. 🌎❤️ #veganfortheplanet #veganfortheanimals #veganisnotscary #nyc #indianfood

This was a delicious bhindi masala with so many flavorful vegetables. The spices were very fragrant and the #okra was not too slimy or oily. The #tomatoes and #peppers definitely helped to make this a wonderful dish. 🤩 The pricing was not especially cheap or expensive, but the quality was good. I’ll be looking forward to returning to Ahimsa (from Sanskrit, meaning “non-violence”) in the future, which is one of my favorite veg-friendly and Jain-friendly Indian restaurants. 😄🌱 #veganrestaurant #vegetables #vegancurry #indianfood
