Dandies Vegan Marshmallows Pumpkin Flavored

I picked this up on sale after Halloween and have been waiting for a chilly day to enjoy this in a hot cocoa and finally gave it a try today when it’s almost Christmas, so I’m long overdue for the #veganisnotscary campaign. Chilly days are hard to come by in my area in Hawaii. It finally got down to 73*F today, which generally isn’t chilly enough for me to be in a hot-cocoa mood, so I just turned on my fan, lol. I could definitely taste the pumpkin. And it’s funny that I even tasted a hint of cinnamon, but that’s not an ingredient. Texture is just like any other traditional marshmallow. There’s no need for nasty gelatin. And I appreciate the fact that there’s #noartificialcolors. Besides pumpkin, this also has annatto, making this a pretty pastel orange, a perfect paring with my yellow mug featuring Tigger, my favorite Disney character. #marshmallows #nogelatin #pumpkin

Plus, they’re vegan and Dandies has probably set the standard for vegan marshmallows. Despite sitting around for about a year, these marshmallows did not disappoint! The whiff of pumpkin when I opened the bag was wonderful. And their taste was equally wonderful. So authentic; non-vegans wouldn’t even know the difference. This is another fine example of a food that meets expectations and replicates what we’re used to but without the need to harm / exploit / kill animals. A few nights ago, I put the marshmallows in a cup of (vegan) hot chocolate. I’m sure no one will complain that they’re vegan. I’ll have to bake with some of the remaining marshmallows. I would definitely get this again. I don’t remember how much I paid, but it wasn’t much.

I enjoyed these much more than the maple flavour. Lightly spiced pumpkin 🎃 flavour and were great in my pumpkin spiced latte.

Not going to lie, at first this pumpkin flavor marshmallow surprised my taste buds. It was just a texture my brain didn’t usually pair with the flavor. However I got over that quickly. The pumpkin flavor is SO GOOD! And the quality of vegan marshmallows that Dandies creates is top notch. Give ‘em a try if your a pumpkin fan!
