We ventured a little further west and decided to make a stop at Hummus & Pita Co. They have many vegan options with a lot of veggies and different type of salads. We ordered a few different menu items, the first being a Veggie Bowl. Because I didn't select a protein option, I got two additional "fill ins." I chose the Israeli couscous, grilled vegetables, tabouleh, and the Jerusalem salad. I loved the Israeli couscous. It has such a nice flavor and texture, and the cucumber and tomato salad paired perfectly. Finally, I topped my bowl off with delicious spinach hummus, lettuce, purple cabbage, and tomatoes with a lemon and parsley vinegeratte. The bowls also come with your choice of a white or whole wheat pita. This bowl was massive and super filling. It's full of protein from the chickpeas and veggies and will keep you full on day long. This bowl was only about $13, but again, it was massive as they are really generous on the portion size. You can also add in additional fill-in options for $1. Winter lighting isn't my favorite, but this bowl was beautiful and full of bright colors! My only complaint was that I wasn't a massive fan of the vinegarette as it was extremely oily. Overall, it's a great bowl, and I would recommend trying it out.
