Apple & Cinnamon Blondie

I was so excited to try this #blondie when I read the description 🤩 but alas… it was all just a dream 🥲 Then again, I have been spoiled by my sister’s baking for the longest time 😗 I’d like to start on the positive 🍨 which is the #vanillaicecream 😝 It’s probably store bought but I was still happy with it ☺️ The #gulamelaka #caramel was solid and surprisingly not too sweet 🤓 Overall, the consistency was good and the restaurant was not stingy on the drizzle 👌 Finally, our star of this #dessert came up a little short 😕 Flavour-wise, all seemed well. There were just enough #apple chunks and an unexpected littering of walnuts but I could’ve been satisfied with a bigger dose of #cinnamon 🫥 The thing that was hard for me to overlook was the texture and hint of oil flavour. Just think of a more dense cakey sponge but not in a good way 🥲 $9 would’ve been of great value if the quality came through a little more 🙃 How many times will I find myself bated by the attractive descriptions of Privé? 😭

Brought this home for our Netflix sesh after the boys went to bed. This was delightful. Generous chunks of #apple in the cake. The #cinnamon flavour was on point. Came with a side of #gulamelaka sauce drizzle. I believe this comes with a scoop of vegan ice cream if you’re dining in. Super filling dessert this is! A great contrast of a warm Apple & Cinnamon Blondie with an ice cream. The ice cream seemed less sweet compared to the Apple & Cinnamon with the Gula Melaka. A bit too filling portion and too sweet. Would be a better portion to share with another.

Loved the cinnamon flavour and the caramel. If you have a sweet tooth, be ready to absolutely devour this.

Somehow our two picks for shared #dessert were remarkably similar, with #gulamelaka #caramel sauce and #ditchdairy #vanilla #icecream the common factors 😅 This one then had a massive slice of #apple #cinnamon cake as the base.
