CHARCOAL ROASTED BBQ PORK IN SINGAPORE. Beautifully charred and glazed on the outside with a thick sauce that was a perfect blend of caramel and savory soy. The mock meat made in-house was unlike the usual rubbery, dyed reddish stuff that most Chinese vegetarian places serve. The zesty chilli sauce was amazing too and such a great complement to the dish. So impressed by how the chef/owner (who was born vegetarian) managed to replicate the texture and flavors of a meaty Cantonese classic so closely! 💯💯💯

but the uncle just gave me a plastic spoon before I could say no:”( )!! finally heading down to try before they close on 10th sep D: such a modest plate of char siew rice, the sauce was really good and the mock meat was tender at some parts but crispy at others!!! really liked it and my non veg mum said it tasted quite legit HAHA but my sister didn’t like it though, she said the texture and taste was just very off but I personally found it really good!! chili was eh, and the chicken rice flavour wasn’t super strong also but overall not bad!!! portion quite big too
costs me 8 bucks with the drink. I wonder if they sell it without the drink though. Pricey but definitely worth the money. Belly satisfying belly yummilicious.
