I really appreciate having vegan options that feel like actually thought out, original dishes, rather than an afterthought. A lot of ice cream shops that have a vegan option will usually only have one or two flavors and (no disrespect to coconut!) they’re usually just a cheap coconut milk base with not a lot of flavor and not fantastic texture, either. There were 5-6 clearly labeled vegan options at the time I visited, and none of them were boring! I don’t think I’ve ever had chocolate covered strawberry ice cream, even before going vegan, so this was definitely exciting! It was delicious as well, and a non veg pal came along and actually decided to get the same thing because they enjoyed sampling mine so much. The texture is also great, super creamy! None of that icy, freezer burnt texture I occasionally find with some vegan ice creams.
The only cons (in my opinion of course) are that it is a bit on the pricier side–around $6.25 per scoop if my memory serves me correctly– and parking can be a bit tricky depending on the time of day and season that you visit. I was able to find street parking pretty easily, but I don’t believe there was a designated parking lot, and I’m sure if it was crowded it could get tough.
