Chick'n N' Pancake from @4thandstate 🍗&🥞
This is a semi-secret menu item at 4th, appearing only on the online menu. Tempeh chick'n fried in house and coated in hot maple, alongisde a house made pancake topped with powdered sugar, and whipped cream and maple syrup on the side.
Okay, now I know what you're thinking.. No, the pancake is not usually shaped like the world's most famous rodent; I brought my @disney Mickey Waffler and asked Chad if I could have the pancake made to look like Mickey Mouse (he said yes).
..And it was delicious! Tempeh is a great chicken substitute, as it is firm and absorbs flavor well. The breading was really good and I liked that there was a little spicy kick to it. The pancake was fluffy and a bit mild in taste, but the chocolate chips and syrup make it good and sweet. The presentation was great, I love the cayenne pepper dusting on the chick'n (and the Mickey pancake is just so damn cute).
Overall I rate a 9/10. Sweet, savory, and crunchy, I recommend trying this one for yourself. If you ask nicely I might even let you bring my Mickey waffler!
