I noticed there weren’t any reviews about Waqoo Shitaderamachi in Osaka.
If you’re vegan and traveling in Osaka, thinking of heading to Kyoto or Nara for a day trip, this location is very ideal. Breakfast is fully vegan, completely silent, and comes with coffee and green tea! I was worried that I wouldn’t be full, but I think it was just right! I was so full and happy—palate satisfying.
On Fridays (fortnights), there will be a guided meditation session/Zazen. You need not be worried if you’re of other religious beliefs, as you don’t need to worship other idols or gods.
I found it similar to CBT and anxiety grounding techniques. Also, I just recovered from pneumonia and the breathing techniques were very helpful.
Although they promote themselves as a temple accommodation, it’s a hotel, and the temple is right behind the hotel. Hotel was cozy, comfortable and the double room has adequate space for you and your huge luggage. 😂
