Truffle Mushroom Toastie at Ole & Steen — rhea!'s Review (Oct 4, 2025)

I want to preface this review by saying that this is actually for the Ole & Steen at 118 High St, Guildford GU1 3HQ. I just couldn’t find it on the list of places! But anywho, I enjoyed this warm truffle mushroom toastie. The toastie consisted of portobello mushrooms, spinach, thyme and vegan cheese sandwiched in between two slices of focaccia 🥪
I quite enjoyed the focaccia - it was soft yet crisp, and the mushroom & spinach tasted nice together. There were just a little too many mushrooms for me and I felt like they overpowered the thyme & spinach too much, which is probably to be expected given it’s a mushroom toastie. Overall, though, it made for a good meal 😁
