Kabayaki Eggplant Rice at Wholey Wonder — Steven Neoh's Review (May 7, 2025)

Ooh glorious 😍 Beneath all that #aubergine lay some #whiterice (#carbsforlife don't you worry 😊), and there were some #pickles and minor vegetables on the side. But let's not kid anyone, the #veganunagi was the main draw. It didn't try to emulate the flavour of #eel, it just had a very pleasant sweet-savoury flavour and the most delightful of #aubergine textures 😋 The #whitesesame made it look more fetching, but I would've been sold on the first bite anyways 🙂 Shame they screwed up our other order, because they certainly can do a dish right 😏
