I noticed several reviews on abillion have already been done for this restaurant, Nonie’s Restaurant, so I wanted to go there. Coincidentally, it just happens to be across the street from where I’m staying. With a sign outside that advertises it offers vegan food, I will automatically give it a try. And I’m glad I did.
For lunch, I ordered a Banana Ginger Smoothie as my beverage. I’m not into smoothies, but this one sounded healthy and delicious. Plus I really love bananas and ginger. Coconut milk as a substitute for dairy milk is always a bonus.
This smoothie did not disappoint! It wasn’t too thick, and absolutely delicious and refreshing. I highly recommend it.
The Banana Ginger Smoothie was 220 pesos, or about $5.50 Canadian. Boracay is more expensive than other Philippine islands and the price of this smoothie is consistent with that trend.
This restaurant is not 100% vegan, but vegans have plenty of options. I also liked that the smoothie came with a reusable straw.
