Shiitake Bak Kut Teh at Savor Of Life — Steven Neoh's Review (Dec 31, 2024)

There is a je ne sais quoi about this, something very delightful in how they executed the broth, which was somehow creamier (if that even makes sense) and smoother than most #bakkutteh concoctions that end up either too peppery or too salty 😅 They also give you a load of fresh #lettuce leaves 😏 And some healthy #multigrain #rice on the side, as if all this justified the whopping RM32 price tag 😦

Ingredients: five lumps of #monkeyheadmushroom cooked until tender; #carrot cubes; #taupok; the promised cuts of #shiitake #mushroom. Not bad at all! 🙂
