It seems like Fresh Direct is the Amazon of the online grocery business. My sister uses Fresh Direct for the overwhelming majority of her grocery shopping.
During my Christmas visit to her place, she had ordered Grilled Zucchini from Fresh Direct. Normally, I’m quite happy with the quality of the food from Fresh Direct, but the Grilled Zucchini was a little disappointing. Although there were lots of zucchini slices in the plastic container, they were very soft and mushy. Fearing that these zucchini slices would become even softer and mushier if I had heated them in the microwave, I just ate them at room temperature.
They tasted great and were very flavourful, but their aforementioned condition was difficult to ignore. Maybe we just got a bad batch. Who knows?
I liked that the ingredients were all natural.
I don’t know the cost of the Grilled Zucchini but I suspect it was a little high considering it’s from Fresh Direct. I would still get this again hoping that I had just gotten a bad sample this time.
