The second installation in yesterday’s #secretvegantakeover was this #hincho / #soup 🍲
The base of the soup is a creamy yellow #chickpea stew 🥘 and then paired with what their menu dubs a “symphony of Burmese botanicals” 🌻 Basically, some very sour spices 🤭 I can’t tell you how upsetting it is that the best #vegansoup I’ve had in years came in such small a portion 😠 I demand more!
It was creamy and yet thin and yet sour and yet #savoury and before I knew it, I was scraping at the bowl wishing I were a tinier human so the soup would have felt like more 😭 It was so good!
Wait! I haven’t even got to the #tohu! Did you know that in #burma they make #tofu out of yellow #splitpea instead of #soybeans? 💡 It’s more mushy, more flavourful and definitely a better pairing than your regular #taukwa for sure 😋 I’m obsessed!
I don’t know if this is a regular rotation item or a #vegandiningclub special but I’m coming back for it 🤤 …and getting it by the gallon! 🍻
