These #vanilla pods are game changers. I bought 3 pods from the Bread Emporuim and stored them in the freezer. They defrosted within seconds between my hands.

I used one pod to add to a #pastrycream (last 📸 ), which displayed the seeds beautifully and added a more soft, warm, and rich vanilla flavour than the normal extract or essence. These #vanilla pods are expensive, but I only use them for special occasions. Do not throw away the pods. Add them to help infuse your pastry cream or ice cream but remove them in the final steps.

The quality of these #vanilla seeds was extremely good. The pods were long and not dry as with other brands. Madagascar #vanilla has a higher concentration of vanillin than any other beans.

#vanilla is part of the #orchid family and only fruit in the 3rd year. They are in bloom for less than 24 hours, which is also why vanilla is expensive. Labour during pollination can be high. For those who love baking or making vegan ice icream, I will really suggest trying this at least once.
