Avocado Black Hole at WAKI WAKI Vegetarian Sushi — Steven Neoh's Review (Sep 10, 2024)

The initial irritation that they had got my order wrong passed very quickly because of how tasty this plate of #sushi was 🙂 As you can see on the menu in the 2nd image, they have multiple dishes named #blackhole. And instead of the mushroom one, they ended up serving me (and charging me for) #avocado, a fruit towards which my attitude can at the very best be described as indifferent 😐 (actually fuck it, avocado has a stupid texture, is as expensive as it's plain, and contributes nothing at all to visual, olfactory, or gustatory pleasure🙄)

But but but, when something looks so pretty how could I possibly be upset for long? This is #foodporn! 🤩 Plus with the #maki stuffed with #crispy #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease #tempura flakes and then topped with a #sweettooth indulgent #teriyakisauce, the supporting cast was more than able to compensate for a weak lead performer 😏 It really helped that they got the #sushirice spot on, and that their #soysauce #wasabi game was also strong 💪

Decent last meal just before I headed for the airport!
