High Protein Bolognese Pasta by Plantasticemsieee's Review (Aug 4, 2024)

I fancied something hot and quick on my half-hour lunch break so I thought I'd try this just-add-hot-water 'instant pasta'.

Flavour-wise it was OK. It tasted mostly of tomato and onion and left an oniony aftertaste. The texture was a bit gloopy, and I found the occasional bit of still-crunchy pasta. However, it was an inoffensive thing to eat, overall.

It contains 12g protein, takes just 5 minutes to steep in hot water, and was really cheap. I bought it for 75p on offer in Tesco.

It comes in a plastic pot with a foil lid and card sleeve, so it's all recyclable- though an alternative to the plastic would be nice.

I wouldn't rush out eagerly to buy more of these for the love of them. However I might well get a couple to keep in my backpack or car so that I have a vegan protein-containing snack to hand when other options aren't readily available.
