Phad Hed Ruam at Six Senses Yao Noi — Steven Neoh's Review (Jul 11, 2024)

After the disappointing papaya curry, this, on the other hand, sent my stomach to heaven, where it found the rest of me still basking in the glow of the events of this long weekend ☺️ It was so unbelievably flavourful, I can't tell you how, with a flavour and depth that belied its casual, slapdash appearance. It wouldn't have looked out of place in a metropolitan area somewhere else in #Thailand!

I guess I love my #mushroom, so the melange of #shiitake #kingoyster and #shimeji here was very well received 😋 I also liked the use of the roasted #cashew, which carried a light hint of spice to keep things ticking along. The menu said #lightsoysauce but I swear, this recipe is hiding more secrets 😏 Went brilliantly well with their brown rice 😋

Strong contender for best dish that I had at the Six Senses, and believe me when I say that the competition was very stiff 😉
