This #bar went on a hike with me and made a nice #snack once we reached the summit. #reviewwithaview I hadn’t had a NuGo bar in ages, so I was surprised to find that it was coated in #chocolate. It was an amazingly candy-bar-like experience, especially for something with only 3g of sugar!
Personally, I would consider this my perfect #proteinbar — it checked all of the boxes.
• Taste: the salty #peanutbutter comes through nicely, and there are real nuts in the bar — not just powders and flavorings! The chocolate has a pleasant sweetness to it. #peanutbutterandchocolatebelongtogether
• Texture: the interior is light and crispy, and the use of peanut pieces makes it convincingly #teamcrunchy. At no point was it chalky or excessively dense.
• Nutrition and Ingredients: 16g of #protein is quite impressive, especially considering that this bar is fairly light in other categories. It is #glutenfree, #palmoilfree, and clearly labeled vegan. The chocolate is ethically sourced per FEP.
I’m so glad I decided to try this bar. They were on special when I visited Whole Foods (3/$4.50,) and I liked them enough that I could see myself buying a whole box in the future!
