I saved this flavor of RightRice — the last of my #veganisnotscary winnings — for the end because the flavor appealed to me the most. Well, not necessarily the #cilantro… but I am a huge fan of all things #lime (I even used to say that limes were my favorite fruits, and they’re still easily top 10.) Perhaps my expectations were too high, as I wasn’t terribly impressed with the flavor.
I ate this #protein-rich #rice substitute with black beans, and I didn’t feel that the lime flavor stood out much… or it was much less zesty than I was hoping for. The chewy, un-mushy texture remains the highlight of this product for me, but I wouldn’t do cilantro lime again.
After trying all 5 bags generously gifted to me by Planting Hope Company, here is my final verdict:
• Recommend: Mediterranean, Garlic Herb, Original
• Skip: Spanish, Cilantro Lime
