Beignet at Meals From the Heart Cafe — amanda's Review (Apr 28, 2024)

I believe this is the only place in #neworleans to get a vegan version of the city’s signature dish - the beignet. For those uninitiated, it’s a square of deep fried dough loaded with powdered sugar (or sometimes cinnamon sugar). They are absolutely delicious and I’m glad this vegan spot offers them so I could participate whilst visiting. ⚜️

The beignets were a bit denser and greasier than the ones I ate before going vegan, but they were still tasty. Service here can be a bit slow as it’s a small-team, so come when you are not in a rush. The menu caters to lots of dietary needs, like #glutenfree, so it’s very inclusive.
