Last week, I decided to have a Nacho Night. The desire could have been withdrawal from not having been to Mexico in over a year.

I would have preferred using fresh jalapeños in my nachos, but jarred sliced jalapeños was much more economical. This jar was either $2.79 or $2.99 at Metro. The jalapeño slices still offered some spice and heat, so I was quite happy.

I never realized this before, but jalapeños are virtually fat free and extremely low in calories. Of course, the jar was loaded with sodium, so I used the jalapeño slices sparingly (although this is somewhat difficult). 😊

I would buy this again regardless of whether or not fresh jalapeños are unavailable.
