Thick slices!! When toasted on the pan top, these look so golden and satisfying. With a hue of brioche or other enriched breads, I keep expecting a bite of this bread to be sweet. This is not sweet. Think instead of a rectangular loaf of bread, but with the rubbery sponginess of a crumpet and the occasional encounter with a clump of unmixed flour. Verdict: crumpet toast is an interesting product. #crumpets #toast
