Five individual pieces on a tray. This was much too sweet for my liking, but i had expected that, it was caramel after all. #snack
What i hadn’t expected was that Plantastic was launched by Premier Foods in the UK, famous for other brands like Mr Kipling and OXO (known for their beef stock cubes). I only learnt this when reading up to write this review. it’s never easy to trace parent companies of vg brands, and looking for instances where Big Food were after a slice of the (vegan) pie. I constantly fall for these, and I think it’s worth acknowledging pseudochoices where we can. I dont know if i feel comfortable recommending this without acknowledging. Perhaps why the rather weird choice for a slogan, one that reinforces overall negative attitudes towards vegan foods.
Still, Plantastic has a couple of snacks, a few types of pot noodles and a couple of cooking sauces.
(product bought in the UK, review posted while in Singapore.)
