Again, my sister surprised me with a box of frozen oven-ready vegan croissants. The box contained 5 croissants. I don’t know the cost, but I suspect the box was premium-ly priced as most things are from Fresh Direct. They just had to be popped into the oven for less than 10 minutes.
These croissants were absolutely delicious and flaky. The inside was soft. The taste was authentic / buttery; not even my family members who also had them complained. In fact, they complimented me on “cooking” them so well (all I did was turn on the oven and placed them inside). Maybe the secret is not to remind them it’s vegan which would automatically taint their perception.
No nutritional information was available on the package, but I suspect it’s not that great (croissants aren’t known for being healthy).
I liked the packaging - a cardboard box without any plastic packaging inside (although the box was covered in plastic). The croissants just sat in the box.
I would happily get these if they’re available in Canada. But I hope my sister gets these again for me.
