Review of Mac N’ Cheese at Urban Vegan Kitchen by veganchailatte
This dish was so comforting and homey. The cheese sauce was cashew based and I added on shiitake bacon, which added a nice crunchy element. I love mac and cheese dishes that have a vegetable and/or nut based sauce because ones with vegan cheese alternatives tend to have an artificial taste—this hit the spot like non-vegan mac and cheese, but did not taste like an artificial cheese alternative and it didn’t feel too heavy either. My non-vegan partner approved as well.
The service was also excellent.
