Gluten Free Pumpkin Donut at Sweet Avenue Bake Shop — glutenfreevee's Review (Nov 8, 2023)

The last time I was at this bake shop, they had a new donut on display that just looked and sounded scrumptious! It was also pumpkin, so I really couldn’t resist. This is a moist spiced pumpkin donut with vanilla frosting, cinnamon drizzle and some streusel topping.

Normally I like lots of frosting, so I chose the more frosted of the two that were there. However, it felt like overkill on this one. The spiced pumpkin donut was moist and delicious enough that a light frosting and drizzle, or none at all, would have been better. Here the vanilla frosting was just cloying. I’ll definitely keep that in mind the next time I get this flavor.
