100% Pure Pumpkin by Libby’skyu's Review (Nov 7, 2023)

I easily went through a few pounds of canned #pumpkin over the course of my #veganisnotscary baking spree. My coworkers loved “The Best Vegan Pumpkin Cookies” (Nora Cooks) so much that I had to make a larger encore batch! #veganbaking #pumpkinlover I imagine Libby’s must be the household name in pumpkin (at least in the U.S.); it’s the classic brand my aunts would always turn to for their pies or pumpkin rolls. It has a very standard texture and water content, which works with most recipes and produces predictable results every time.

Now for the bad part: I learned from @beckyyy’s earlier review of this product that the Libby’s label is part of Nestlé, which I try not to support because of their labor and environmental practices. Now that I’ve used up these old cans, I think I’m done with Libby’s.

It is such a bummer that they’re part of the mega-corp as they’re such a classic. At least there’s plenty of other options! 🧡
