Review of gyro at Vegan International Co. Kitchen & Market by aubreyj27

to be honest, i was pretty disappointed in this. i enjoyed the fries, which were just your typical fast food fries (but they were done well! not soggy or anything), but beyond that, it wasn’t the best.

the gyro contained gyro seitan, lettuce, tomato, white sauce, and i opted for onions as well. the gyro was received wrapped up (shown in picture) and upon unwrapping it i found it was already completely soggy. i don’t expect the pita to hold its own for an extended amount of time, but it really didn’t last long before giving up. the lettuce, due to it being wrapped up and heated with the rest of the gyro’s wet ingredients, was soggy and a little slimy tbh 😭. i ordered this gyro mainly to try the gyro meat, but i found it wasn’t that impressive either. sure, it was seitan and it was cooked well and all, but it definitely wasn’t that close to gyro meat and i’ve had closer vegan substitutes.

overall not my personal favorite! i’ve had better vegan gyros, sorry ! 😓
