I bought this container of roasted eggplant dip at VegTO Fest in downtown Toronto earlier this month. I think I paid $3 or $4.
I have to admit I thought it was eggplant hummus, as opposed to a dip (Sunflower Kitchen was offering both hummus and roasted eggplant dip sampling). When I looked at the list of ingredients, it was pretty well the same as hummus, but with eggplant instead of chickpeas. It was only when I got home that I had realized it was a dip. Not that it really matters because it tastes fantastic. It’s definitely something different (in a positive way); I don’t think you find eggplants as an ingredient too often in prepared packaged foods.
Nutritionally, it’s a good source of fibre and iron. Surprisingly, it’s also high in fat. Looking at the list of ingredients, I assume the fat is naturally in the clean ingredients as there aren’t any junk ingredients. 
I definitely recommend this. This dip and pepper slices together are a healthy snack.
