#minorityowned, #womenowned

Koshary King is a #familyowned, hidden-gem food trailer at the corner of Hudson & Summit with a very small menu., which also includes Hummus and Baba Ghanouj, as addl labeled vegan items. They also have fries, which aren’t labeled but I suspect are vegan.
At $10 for the large, small is $8, it’s a sizable portion consisting of rice, Egyptian angel hair and lentils, pasta, fried onions, chickpeas, red sauce, daqqa (lemon vinegar sauce), sprinkled with lemon garlic tomatoes. The dish is very flavorful and filling with lots of pasta and chickpeas. I’ve had their hummus also, which is very good.
The trailer sits in a parking lot and there’s seating with several tables and chairs. It is a busy intersection for traffic and on the weekends during warmer months an open market popup, the SoHud Collective, takes place, packing the lot with numerous vendors. Shops are mostly vintage clothing, art, jewelry, home goods, and other unique items and there’s also music playing and sometimes performance art. One of the unique vendors is a school bus converted into a clothing store.
Back to the food, it was nice to try this dish and have another vegan option available and I’ve not seen it anywhere else. Also, always nice to meet and support kind people and local businesses. Enjoy! ✌🏼
