color is perfect. dark and long-lasting black. it has a rather soft brush. for me it's harder to get exact lines with soft brushes. also, if your eyes water easily the tears will smear the eye liner onto your eye lids. at least, thats what happens to me. still a great, high-quality product. just not for me personally.
