Hikari Miso chooses certified organic ingredients and that means: no chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. We source from certified organic farmers to ensure organic integrity and maintain organic practices in our manufacturing plants. We are the first manufacturer in Japan to earn organic certification in the U.S., the EU and Japan.

This product is made of 100% USDA Certified Organic rice and soybeans and is additive-free. It has a light yellow color original to Shinshu style miso. A high volume of rice koji produces its mild taste and smooth texture.
