Crispy Enoki Mole at Covacha — numinous's Review (Jul 26, 2023)

OKAY IF YOU HAVEN’T TRIED THIS THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE

this dish is just so incredibly yummy. it is on another level.

Covacha is a restaurant that you definitely have to try if you’re in Manhattan. Their concept is Western Mexico meets American Northeast food.

They have SO MANY vegan options. I fully recommend going.

These deliciously crispy tacos were strong in flavor. The dense mole engulfed these crunchy mushrooms creating a beautiful dance inside my mouth. The pickled onions dropped a hint of playful sourness. Along with the saltiness and sweetness of the mole and mushrooms, this combo was a perfectly balanced dish in its complimenting flavors.

The tortillas were 10000/10.

I’ve been to Mexico many times and I can say that these amazing tacos are up to the standard.

Also I accompanied the meal with this refreshing Agua de Jamaica. This meal was perfectly nutritious, light, and filling.
