Nordic Naturals

Unfortunately it's hard to get EPA and DHA from foods on a vegan diet, with a few exceptions. ALA, a fatty acid that can be found in a variety of vegan sources (e.g. chia and flax seeds, walnuts), can be converted into EPA and DHA in the body, but it is an inefficient process. For that reason, I personally take a DHA + EPA supplement made from algae oil. This is the most cost effective brand I could find, $45 for a two month supply on Amazon. I previously used a Nature's Made product, but it unfortunately was discontinued. Nordic naturals' version was a good substitute

lizmaselli I've been taking these exact ones for years!!! I recommend getting them at Fresh Thyme when they have their 20% all supplement sales. Also, sometimes I switch it up with iWi brand (a good alternative if you can't get these when needed) 1 likeReply
