Review of Raspberry Cake Slice at Rosetta's Kitchen by lilyycaroline

Took a little day trip to Asheville with some family and we decided to get a sweet treat at Rosetta’s Kitchen! Their bakery case had so many items to choose from but my sister and I each opted for a slice of cake 🍰! I chose the raspberry 🍓and my sister got chocolate peanut butter 🍫 🥜 ! Normally I’m a big fruity flavored dessert fan, but we both agreed that the chocolate peanut butter “took the cake” this time haha! While my slice was definitely moist, the base reminded me of banana bread and I didn’t detect any berries. The frosting was a little chunky and wasn’t as full of raspberry flavor as it looked. I think it would’ve been enhanced with some berry jam in between the layers and/or on top! I love the idea, I think it just could’ve been executed better. Either way, there are still plenty of delicious looking baked goods to choose from next time!
