Review of ヴィーガンチャーシュー Char-Siu at T's TanTan Ecute Ueno by jessskh
I got this as a side with my ramen. I was intrigued to see how it compares to both char-siu made from pig flesh and vegan char-siu I’ve had in London. I don’t think it tastes like the animal meat one and I also think that the ones I’ve had in London are better - more flavoured and smokier. This char-siu was sweeter and softer than what I’ve had before. I do think it’s something I would get again and it’s also available as another side dish with rice (mini char-siu don).
