Review of SALTI con sal marina - Schär by vanille
Gluten-free crackers made with #corn and #soy flour instead of wheat.
At first bite they feel okay, without a big difference compared to common wheat #crackers. As I chew on them the texture gets a bit weird, they are drier and also kinda sandy. It isn’t super prominent but it’s not a great texture.
They taste fine, but they really don’t have much flavour, even for a #salty snack like this. It has a very mild buttery taste, but it’s the kind you almost don’t notice at all. They don’t have a lot of flavour from the salt either. They end up mostly tasting like nothing. No weird aftertaste.
They contain #rspo palmoil and they are #nutfree. The packaging says it’s #recyclable but appears to be a mix of plastic and metal, which isn’t recyclable here. The bag also has a sticker to reseal it.

💵~44 NOK. Noticeably more expensive compared to crackers with gluten.
In my opinion they are best eaten with a spread or dip since you won’t notice that the texture is a bit odd.
They’re not horrible, if you need your crackers to be #glutenfree and don’t mind a texture that is a little different they’ll totally work. I won’t repurchase however.
