This is the best! I’m generally not a #marinara guy and grew up eating the bigger brand sauces and adding spices and/or veggies, but this one can stand alone. I’ve had other marinaras, which were more tangy that I didn’t care for but this one has a more subtle flavor, tomatoey, but not too much. It has a great consistency also, so it sits or sticks/stays with the pasta vs runnier sauces which seep to the bottom.
So this sauce is a bit more expensive. I passed it up numerous times at #costco saying I’d never pay that much for sauce, though I have paid $6-7 for local arabiatta, but when I saw it on sale, I decided to try it. I believe it was ~$4.50 per 28 oz jar on sale. I just looked it up and $7.99 for a 24 oz jar at Whole Foods and the same currently at Kroger after $1 off.
Regardless, I stock up on it when on sale at Costco and the display and inventory is usually wiped out.
In addition, this sauce is healthier, as #noaddedsugar, though there is sodium, but minimal ingredients, consisting of: Italian Whole Peeled Tomatoes, Olive Oil, Onions, Salt, Garlic, Basil, Black Pepper, Oregano.
Hoping Costco carries their arabiatta soon. Enjoy!
