A quick warning before I share my thoughts, because this might be a slightly controversial opinion. Here goes . . . I’ve never really liked #chocolate chip cookies. I think this context is important for my review to read coherently. Unfortunately for me (and fortunately for everyone else?,) this #energybar tasted exactly like a sweet chocolate chip cookie, with a touch of cinnamon. Since this is clearly an idiosyncrasy of mine, in the interest of fairness, I’ve rated it 4/5 in the taste category. As with other Clif bars, it was fairly sticky; the oats and crisped rice provided just enough textural variation to help me finish most of the serving. It did a good job of keeping me full, and the compact size is good for a gym bag or backpack, but I don’t often reach for these — three strikes for the intense sweetness, high price, and chocolate chips.
