Originating from Malacca, Malaysia, suji cakes are traditionally made from butter, sugar, eggs, semolina or sugee flour. The addition of ground almonds gives the cake a nutty fragrance and flavour. This vegan version is on the denser side but delicious nevertheless, especially if you love almonds! $5/slice~
