Review of Vegetarian Assam "Fish" with Steam White Rice at Coco Veggie Nyonya Cuisine by skootykoots

They need to work on the presentation for this dish. It looks basic but oh gosh the taste is divine! Ok but yet another dish with an acquired taste-i happen to be those who like the sourish spicy tangy dishes.
This is the #peranakan version that of the #malay #assampedas,this one is more thick sourish n tangy.

Comes with 2 of those huge pieces of #beancurdskin they call ‘fish’,tomatoes n okra in it. Served with steamed white rice.

Lovely pairing with their butter cream lion mane mushroom dish-the sweet really balance out the sour. And we had it wth sambal petai too so it’s a perfect combo!
