Review of Vanilla Almondmilk Yogurt - Ayo by kyu

A bit perplexing . . . I love #yogurt and will never pass up the opportunity to try a new brand, but this one confused me. It had more of a peachy yellowish hue than expected (nothing wrong with that) and the runny consistency of many vegan yogurts, but the flavor seemed very off. It was sweet and lacked the tangy tartness of a cultured product; it had a strong #almondmilk flavor and also bizarrely smacked of maple syrup(?) somehow, even though it wasn’t listed anywhere in the ingredients. I didn’t get vanilla in the slightest.
I appreciate that Ayo specifies that their lactic acid and cultures are derived from vegan sources, although it also lists natural flavors twice over (once organic and once not.) Between these little details and the odd flavor, it’s definitely not a repeat purchase for me.
