Vegan Calzone at Vicoli di Napoli Pizzeria — Gabriella_De_Martino's Review (Jan 27, 2023)

So I have asked the #pizzeria in #stokenewington #veganlondon #london what pizzas can be veganised 😂.. they said all of them however they don’t have substitutes for pancetta for example ( vegan bacon ) - so I wanted a “calzone “ which is usually filled with salami ricotta mozzarella etc. I agreed for them to fill it with “ friarielli “ which is similar to cavolo nero but it’s very much a southern italian ( Napoli) vegetable. Then they added mushrooms and vegan mozzarella + garlic . So the dough was excellent but they really did add A LOT of garlic so the flavour was a bit bitter overall. Advised but just don’t ask them to put garlic in it 😄
