Vegan waffle with Chocolate Nice Cream at The Herb Cafe — cjandersenpost's Review (Jan 24, 2023)

I love, love, LOVE the Herb Cafe! The setting is just gorgeous. You walk through a herb garden and a rose garden and come to sit on a wooden deck overlooking their veggie garden. On your way out you can walk through a spiral plant maze. There's also a nursery at the exit, so you get to take some plant buddies home with you 😉 On the same premises there is a play area, but they have their own restaurant with limited to no vegan options. For this trip I left the kiddo at home so that we could enjoy the serene setting and nom the delicious vegan food! The waffle was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The nice cream was a touch on the icy side, but with constant loadshedding, that has become the norm for frozen desserts 😪 The service is a tad on the slow side, but if you're going for a slow meal in a peaceful setting, you can deal with it.
