流沙包 Soft and fluffy steamed bun with molten custard flowing out! The custard was smooth and sweet, lacking the salty/sulphuric taste and slightly powdery/grainy texture of real salted egg yolk custard. Apparently the custard was made using pumpkin, coconut milk, and sugar - perhaps there could have been a dash of miso and black salt to better resemble salted egg yolk custard? Nonetheless I was still happy to enjoy vegan lava buns. P.S. The new one-page dim sum menu at D'Life Signature Chinatown Point is fully vegan. (Allium-free, $4.20 / 3 pieces) #sgvegan #vegandimsum
