I love tofu in any form, but my favorite type to pan fry is medium firm/regular. I just love how the sides get crispy and the inside remains soft.
Medium tofu is hard to find in this area as there’s no Asian grocery stores. The only store I knew to get it previously was Whole Foods and the price has gone up from $1.99 to $3.29 in the past few years. I was super surprised to find this medium firm variety at Von’s for $1.99! This one is not organic, however, so that could be a factor.
The tofu cooked up beautifully and tasted just as good as my usual brand. Glad that I found it available at another spot!
