VEGAN

Steinhaus

These are great tasting vegan tortellini, however I really dislike the fact that they sell it in 230g packs, an obvious trick to increase profit (compared to 250g). This increases the waste to product ratio. Also the company claims on their website that they are to small to change animal well-being, however this is not true since they could stop selling animal products immediately, reducing demand for animal products and sending a powerful message to the consumer. Also “Bodenhaltung” of chicken has nothing to do with animal welfare and is only slightly above the horrors of cages. This is a good vegan product, which is solely offered because of capitalistic interests (broadening the target audience).

evelynsarah „Increased waste-to-product-ratio“ remembers me somehow of chemistry classes 😄 but accurate term actually for describing the situation!1 likeReply
