I thought this product was pretty decent. A lot of reviews say they had to add spices and flavorings which I can understand why, but I still didn't add any seasoning and felt it was fine. It does have kind of a gloopy texture which isn't so bad when mixed with pasta. Definitely worth having in the cupboard for those busy nights but I think learning to make my own will be worthwhile, too.
It's interesting to see this fortified with b12- great for new vegans who may not realize that is an important vitamin.
